Were you one of the millions who resolved to adopt new healthy lifestyle habits a few short weeks ago? Have those habits already fallen by the wayside? I know, I know, believe me I know that leading a healthier life is not easy, but it’s so important. Not only do we want to feel good, but taking care of ourselves leads to more time (longer life) and more money (fewer medical bills). Certainly all that should be a good enough incentive. We’re all aware of the decreases in gasoline prices over the past year, so much so that the average American family saved about $700 last year compared with the previous year. There are some reasons to rejoice about the decline of the price of oil and gas but also some reasons to fear it and its reflection on the current state of the world’s economies. About 70% of all U.S. consumers have smartphones today. If you’re one of those “smart” people, then it’s no surprise to you that apps are what drives activity on our phones, helping us to do everything from obtain news to getting directions to your next appointment and everything in between. They certainly can enrich, inform, and help to manage your life. Even I have joined in the 21st century and use my phone for a lot of those exciting and beneficial resources, and according to research, the number of people doing that is growing every day!

According to survey earlier this year from Pew Research Center, 62% of smartphone users used their device to look up healthcare information during the past year.
